NARWHAL artist Tibi Tibi Neuspiel opened his most recent solo exhibition last week at Narwhal Gallery which is titled Housewarming Gifts for Anorexics. The exhibition focuses on the notion that art has gone beyond its inherent use-value and has in effect come to exclude it from having one.
The show, which opened on July 19 2013, was just listed on the Canadian Art website as one the country’s must-see shows for the week of July 25-31. They describe the show by writing that the “ever-irreverent Toronto artist Tibi Tibi Neuspiel—whose breakthrough works include portraits on toast and re-performances of the 1980 Wimbledon final—debuts a new series of hand-made multiples at Narwhal.”
The show runs from July 19 – Aug 18, 2013, with an artist talk also taking place at the gallery Saturday July 27 2013 which is free to attend.
